Applications are invited for the above posts starting in February 2024, for an initial period of 6 months with the potential to be extended for a further 6 months.

The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital Orthopaedic Department is one of the largest Arthroplasty units within the UK, with 20 Orthopaedic Consultants, two of whom specialise in foot and ankle surgery and one in hand and wrist surgery.

The department undertakes approximately 4000 primary and revision joint replacements and over 500 other elective orthopaedic procedures (including soft tissue knee surgery and hand) per year.

The successful candidates will be exposed to all aspects of modern hip and knee arthroplasty surgery including robotic and computer navigated knee replacements and will be expected to actively participate in audit and research.

Candidates should ideally have completed a basic Orthopaedic Registrar training program and passed the appropriate examinations (MRCS compulsory, FRCS Orth. desirable).
