Applications are invited for the above posts based within NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital (GJUNH) in Clydebank. This is an exciting time for NHS GJUNH, with an expansion programme currently underway, scheduled to open later in 2024. 

The General Surgery service currently provides a programme of elective surgery, comprising day cases and short stay General/benign Upper GI procedures, as well as a wide range of colorectal in patient and day case procedures. There may also be opportunities for the successful candidates to join and develop the established robotic surgery programme.  As part of the expansion programme, our elective General Surgery Service will continue to grow, and we seek enthusiastic individuals who can help build and shape the service going forward.

The role also provides Endoscopy Services, and the unit was the first in Scotland to achieve JAG accreditation.  The expansion programme includes a new, state of the art, purpose build new Endoscopy Unit. There may be opportunities for the successful candidates to apply to join the faculty of the National Endoscopy Training Programme.

We seek motivated, highly trained General Surgeons, who will be an asset to the team. Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, or be eligible for admission to the register within 6 months of the interview date.
