We are looking for a national Clinical Lead for the Centre for Sustainable Delivery’s Specialty Delivery Groups in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
This role will provide professional expertise on the development, design and delivery of work of the CfSD particularly relation to the Scottish Orthopaedic Speciality Delivery Group.
The Clinical Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedics will work in partnership with the National Performance Lead and National Performance Manager for Trauma and Orthopaedics and support the National Planned Care Director. The Clinical Lead will also work closely with the National Improvement Advisor, National Associate Directors and Associate Clinical Director within the Centre for Sustainability to build on the work currently underway. Current work is focused on development of a Once for Scotland approach to services within NHS Scotland by providing strategic leadership and support for clinical teams to test innovative ways of working and facilitate pathway redesign opportunities, which can be shared and implemented at scale across Scotland.
This role will support redesign that is underpinned by high quality, credible and internationally respected clinical advice. This would inform practise consistent with high professional standards and with our approach to Realistic Medicine.
The role will require someone who can act authoritatively as a change agent and displaying the highest professional standards, with experience of working with executive and senior managers across NHs Scotland.
