Our Practice is deeply rooted in the local community and patient care is at the heart of all we do. Continuity of care and a healthy work-life balance are important to us, and we need more GPs in our team to help us continue to achieve this.
The development of areas of expertise is important for job satisfaction. Many of our GPs vary their day to day consulting with other interests which we support.
With over 25 years experience as a training practice, six of our current partners have trained here. Our GPs are involved in quality & service improvement work for our community via the GP Cluster, the GPSub Committee & working with partners in the HSCP.
Skerryvore is a friendly, semi-rural practice based in the beautiful town of Kirkwall providing General Medical Services to a population of approximately 8,700 patients on the mainland of Orkney. We moved in to purpose built premises in 2019. The Practice uses Vision and Docman. We offer additional services in Sexual Health (www.nordhavenclinic.co.uk), and do not cover OOHs.
Our team consists of 8 Doctors (6.1WTE), ANP, Nurses & HCAs, Pharmacotherapy Team, and Community Link Workers supported by an experienced and committed management and administrative team.
Golden Hello and Relocation Assistance available subject to eligibility.
Contract will be in line with the BMA model Salaried GP contract.
