The Diabetes Remission Programme is the latest initiative to be approved. This ambitious project provides an exciting opportunity that requires passionate, motivated and value driven individuals. The Project Manager – Innovation Delivery (Diabetes Remission) role will be a key member of the programme team and offers a unique opportunity to confidently lead, manage, develop and implement a national diabetes remission service, delivering measurable improvements in type 2 remission rates across Scotland.
The post holder will be comfortable working in close collaboration with a wide range of key partners and stakeholders, including those across national and territorial boards, they will be able to apply strong project management skills and be able to communicate a clear vision for change on a Once for Scotland basis.
The successful candidate should have proven practical experience of project implementation and delivery. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills effectively used to secure clinical and operational engagement and drive safe, effective and person-centred improvements in care. They will exhibit a demonstrable in-depth understanding of project management and improvement methodologies, with recognised expertise in practical application. The ability to work within a political context, a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines and being responsive to changing priorities is essential.
