The Pharmacy Department, within the Golden Jubilee National University Hospital is integrated across its multiple services and the pharmacist in this post will work to provide safe, effective and person centred care for every patient, every time. They will work in collaboration with our friendly and supportive pharmacy team, and will be a critical part of the wider multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting time to join our Pharmacy team as we further develop our clinical services and try innovative ways of working. As part of the Scottish Government’s £200 million investment to meet demand for elective procedures, our services are expanding to treat more patients than ever before, and the Pharmacologistics Pharmacist will play a critical role in ensuring this is achieved. We are looking for a suitably experienced pharmacist who is highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic for this exciting role.
You will be responsible for professionally leading, developing and manage the procurement and dispensing services across NHS Golden Jubilee University Hospital in collaboration with the lead technician for procurement, lead technician for dispensing services, Principal pharmacist clinical services and Associate Director of Pharmacy. You will strive for safety and efficiency and ensure all legal, ethical and governance aspects of the services are addressed.
You will lead on the clinical governance and financial governance around medicines procurement and supply whilst developing your RPS advanced portfolio across the four pillars of advanced practice. You will also be responsible for delivering high quality, patient-centred care, linking with multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital.
You will be an integral part of the senior pharmacy team, working with the Director of Pharmacy/ Associate Director of Pharmacy to deliver the pharmacy vision for NHS Golden Jubilee and will support the development of the wider pharmacy team and the pharmacy services too.
