Work Pattern: Fixed Term, Part time Time, 29.6 hours per week

Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Medical Directorate is responsible to the NES Board and through the Board to Scottish Government for the commissioning and delivery of postgraduate medical education in Scotland. This training is delivered in general practices and health boards to standards set by the General Medical Council (GMC). The role of the Directorate is to oversee training, manage the trainee’s progress through the training programme and ensure the training is delivered to GMC standards
The Clinical Skills Managed Educational Network (CSMEN) is based within the Medical Directorate but has a multi-professional outlook and collaborates with other NES directorates including Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHP) and Pharmacy, as well as the NHS Scotland Academy. We work closely with external stakeholders (Simulation centres, Universities and Royal Colleges) providing skills and simulation training to healthcare professionals throughout Scotland.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to cover maternity leave and join our dynamic, highly talented team to support the development of the simulation community within NES and enable innovative, quality-assured skills and simulation-based learning across health and social care.
Working as a Network Coordinator (Admin Officer) within the team you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive administration support to the core CSMEN team including the Clinical Lead and CSMEN Manager.

Working within the CSMEN team you will have the opportunity to bring your unique skills and experience to the table, collaborating across multiple workstreams and stakeholders to support the wider Scottish simulation community.

What We Love to See
Network co-ordinators offer a broad range of skills and experience, if you can offer some or all of these, we’d love you to apply:
- Organise meetings; working closely with the Chair to provide administrative support scheduling meeting dates, preparing documents, taking minutes and setting up action trackers.
- Experience with business operating policies and procedures, including their creation, development, and review.
- Manage and update the Network database and keep Network members up to date with upcoming skills and simulation events and activities.
- Promote the work of CSMEN and the Mobile Skills Unit by attending conferences/training events.
- Experience of event management and the coordination of social media communications.
- Experience of website authoring tools and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) resources.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary
- Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise own workloads, to meet strict deadlines
