Work Pattern: Fixed Term, Full Time, 37 hours per week
Fixed-term or Secondment** until end March 2026

Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Pharmacy team within NES is responsible through the Executive Medical Director to the NES Board and through the Board to Scottish Government for the commissioning and delivery of postgraduate pharmacy education in Scotland.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experience and motivated administrator to join our growing Business Admin team to provide full administrative support to the Pharmacy team.
In this role, you’ll primarily provide administrative support for the Foundation Training Year programme, while also providing cross cover to the wider team as needed. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is ready to bring their skills and enthusiasm to a team that’s responsible for the education, training, and workforce development of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across Scotland.

Working within the Pharmacy business admin team you will have the chance to make a real difference across all the worksteams for Pharmacy as well as the NES delivery as a whole.

A range of administrative experience including
Arranging meetings and events
Creating and managing complex data sets
Dealing with correspondence
Excellent skills using Microsoft 365 applications
Experience of working collaboratively and flexibly within a team
Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary
Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise own workloads, to meet strict deadlines
