Are you an experienced, forward thinking senior nurse leader ready to shape the future of elective care in Scotland? We’re looking for a dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our National Elective Services across the Eye Centre, Outpatient Department and Endoscopy Suite—supporting around 200 dedicated staff and delivering high quality, person centred care to thousands of patients each year.

What you’ll lead
As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will:
Champion Person Centred Care
• Embed compassionate, person centred practice across all services
• Support Senior Charge Nurses to resolve issues quickly and improve care environments
• Ensure patient and staff voices shape service development
Drive Safety and Quality
• Lead implementation of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme and Excellence in Care
• Oversee infection prevention, risk management and incident reduction
• Ensure robust workforce planning to deliver safe, high quality care
Shape Strategy and Workforce
• Contribute to the development of the Board’s Nursing Delivery Plan
• Lead workforce planning, role development and culture building initiatives
• Support staff wellbeing, supervision, mentorship and performance management
About you
You will be a highly skilled, resilient and inspiring nursing leader with:
• Registration as a Nurse with current NMC registration
• Significant post registration experience in a relevant clinical role
• Evidence of, or working towards a Master’s level qualification or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in quality improvement and quality assurance
• Strong operational management skills and the ability to lead through change
• Excellent communication, emotional intelligence and the ability to influence at all levels
• A passion for developing people, improving services and delivering outstanding care
A leadership or management qualification is desirable, as is experience in team culture development and Quality Improvement or Project management qualification.
