Job Advert

ICT Department –Motherwell/ Dalgety Bay (Under Review)

The Scottish Ambulance Service provides scheduled and unscheduled ambulance services across Scotland.  The Service makes extensive use of cab-based technology in order to support efficient and effective service delivery. It has a fleet of over 1400 vehicles, the vast majority of which are equipped with ICT equipment of one form or another (e.g. cab based terminals, Airwave terminals, mobile data equipment etc).

We are currently looking for an ICT Asset Co-Coordinator to work within the Service ICT Department.  This is a new post and it is envisaged that the post holder will record, report, audit and verify the assets against the Asset Databases. The post holder will also ensure the Service complies with any asset database requirements of the TEA2 license in relation to recording Airwave Assets. The post holder will assist in the coordination of the Airwave Terminal Audit and assist the In Cab Technician to interface with any internal/external department in relation to asset issues.

Applicants must have a current driving licence and it would be advantageous to hold groups C1 and D1.  An understanding of the Airwave Radio Service and Cab Base Terminals would be highly desirable.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Hiring Manager.
