The shift pattern for this position is 5 over 7 days.

The Glasgow City Wide Phlebotomy Service delivers care in clinics and home settings to patients who are referred by GPs, members of the Primary Health Care Team and those from secondary care.  The service is available to adults within community and primary care settings.  

The post holder will support the Band 6 coordinators in developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining  high quality clinical practice across the service they will be responsibility for day to day operational management including performance monitoring of the Band 3s HCSW.

They will ensure that their own practice and that of their team members, (in conjunction with professional leads), is within the legal and ethical framework of their professional body to ensure that patients’ interests and wellbeing are met. The post holder will represent the values and beliefs of the Phlebotomy service as well as that of the organisation.
