Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for medical education? NHS Lothian is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead and enhance our Undergraduate Medical Education workstream within the Medical Education Directorate. You’ll play a vital role in delivering a sustainable, data-driven programme supporting medical education across Lothian. You will work with academic and clinical teams to enhance learning environments, ensure compliance with GMC and university standards, and manage key governance forums.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage a robust programme plan for Undergraduate medical education

Manage undergraduate educational services, faculty time and resources

Collaborate with HR, Recruitment, Digital, and eHealth teams to improve onboarding

Support clinical areas in providing undergraduate medical education to an increasing number of students

Drive programme improvement in induction, training, and governance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong programme/project management experience
  • Ability to develop data-driven, cost-effective solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of medical education framework
