The Post-holder is responsible for all aspects of the day to day operational management of the Catering Services Department and to act up for the Catering Services Manager as required. They are required to manage Catering Services in accordance with the Division’s Policies and Procedures and with reference to Food Safety Act 1990, General Food Regulations 2004, Regulation EC No 852/2004, The Food Hygiene () Regulations 2006, Food in Hospitals and NHS Quality Improvement Scotland Food Fluid and Nutrition standards. Thus ensuring that the highest standard of food production is provided to service users, fulfilling the requirements of the Lothian Catering Strategy, whilst maintaining a safe working environment
