The shift pattern for this post are Monday - Friday, 25.40 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse within the Endoscopy Unit at IRH which is a purpose built department with state of the art equipment.
Demand for endoscopic procedures is growing year on year, which makes for an exciting, busy and often challenging environment. The successful candidate will be fully supported in their professional development, working alongside an experienced team. Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and have an interest in working in the endoscopy environment. Previous experience in this area is advantageous but all applications will be considered.
As part of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will be responsible for the Pre-Assessment and provision of care to patients attending for day case and In patient endoscopy procedures. The post entails assessment of patients and delivering excellent nursing care through to discharge. You will be supported in learning new skills to assist Medical and Nurse Endoscopists within the Scope rooms.
The successful candidate would be required to demonstrate flexibility working within the service which currently operates a 5-day week. Furthermore the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multisite working within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to meet the needs of the service.
