As a physiotherapist you will become part of the Orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy team within University Hospital Ayr. You will be working beside other Advanced physiotherapy practitioners and Orthopaedic consultants and wider the Musculoskeletal team in the outpatient setting. An experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapy practitioner, you will have evidence of a self-generated caseload incorporating patient diagnosis, assessment and treatment. Working at an advanced level you will be able to demonstrate master’s level experience and have a diploma in injection therapy. Although not essential a post graduate diploma in diagnostic ultrasound is desirable.
The ability to provide a highly specialist resource to the orthopaedic service, predominantly but not exclusively upper limb, you will also be expected to order further investigations appropriately and refer to multiple specialties as required. Active involvement in clinical governance, clinical effectiveness, service development and ongoing research is also essential.
Hours: 37.5 per week
