Applications are welcome from appropriately qualified Registered Nurses who are seeking a role as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner based within the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) of the Vale of Leven District General Hospital (VOLH), Alexandria.

MIU ANPs autonomously assess, treat and discharge patients aged over 1 year of age and where necessary, will refer to appropriate in-patient specialties, primary care agencies and other healthcare professionals. This role therefore requires an expert knowledge and clinical skillset to manage minor injury presentations as an autonomous practitioner and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team where necessary.

The successful applicant will be an NMC Registered Nurse, hold a post registration qualification in the management of minor injuries and possess sufficient emergency care or MIU experience.

Completion of advanced clinical assessment or Independent Prescribing is desirable.

This post is open to prospective Trainee ANPs (tANP). The tANP will be employed on Annex 21 terms whilst undergoing a supported training pathway to achieve ANP sign off.

This post is full time (37.5hrs/week) across 7 days; 12hr shifts.
