An excellent opportunity, due to service redesign, has arisen for an Advanced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the enthusiastic, supportive and proactive team within Aberdeenshire, covering the Fraserburgh area. This post would be suitable for a Speech and Language Therapist with a least 5 years of experience and with an interest in helping children within the local community raise their attainment in their communication skills and support their wider wellbeing needs. This is a community post and would be suitable for a therapist with the skills to manage a paediatric caseload including children with additional support needs. Within the Fraserburgh area there are a significant number of families who have English as an additional language and experience of working with interpreting services would be beneficial. Knowledge and experience of quality improvement is also desired.
The post holder will provide a community service to children in the Fraserburgh area in a range of community settings including schools/early years settings with whom we have excellent relationships. There are good opportunities for professional and personal development and staff members are encouraged to contribute to the development of the service as a whole. We have a robust supervision programme.
