OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER

Band 4: £23,709 - £25,982 pro rata per annum

37.5 hours per week – Full time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the B & S Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy team for an individual seeking a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner post. 
 
Applications are sought from individuals with previous experience as a support worker. The applicant is required to have an HNC or equivalent relevant experience or be willing to work towards this. 
 
The role will involve assisting qualified Occupational Therapy staff in the provision of efficient and effective Occupational Therapy services within the B & S area. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday.
 
The post holder will be expected to carry their own, delegated, non-complex patient caseload. They will assess, treat and discharge patients .The post holder will be expected to prioritise and manage their workload independently. Support and training will be available from the Occupational Therapists.

Applicants should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

Full, current driving licence and use of car for work purposes are essential.
