Band 5 Staff Nurses
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Staff Nurses to join our team within the Medical High Dependency Unit at Raigmore Hospital.
We are looking for highly motivated, caring and compassionate nurses with a keen interest in critical care who are able to work well under pressure. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be committed to delivering high quality care. In addition you should be able to work well as part of a large and diverse multidisciplinary team.
The unit comprises of a 6 bed Medical High Dependency area within the Acute Medicine Unit caring for level 2 patients throughout the Highlands.
The successful candidates should have at least 2 years post registration experience working within an acute setting. Skills including Venepuncutre, Cannulation, Catheterisation, administering IV medication are essential to this role. In addition to this you will be expected to complete our National Competency Framework for registered Nurses in Adult Critical Care within 12-18 months of appointment.
Candidates should have excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit coupled with a sense of humour. Candidates should have enthusiasm to work, learn and develop yourself and colleagues within the exciting and challenging high pressure environment.
