About the Organisation:

Public Health Scotland is a new organisation, set up to improve the lives of people in Scotland, to reduce health inequalities that persist in many of our communities. It’s an exciting time to join the organisation, with PHS at the forefront of Scotland’s efforts to tackle Coronavirus and its implications across society.

The post:

You will work across a range of Public Health Scotland’s digital services to design user-focused digital content, including the further development of our website (https://publichealthscotland.scot) and our intranet.

The candidate:

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have demonstrable experience and skills in:

  • Designing and delivering usable and accessible digital content and using content management systems (CMS).
  • Using and interpreting web analytics and user feedback to review and improve digital content.
  • Supporting the delivery of digital projects with excellent personal organisation skills including effective work planning.

You will also have strong communication skills and ability to manage relationships with colleagues, service teams and partners.

Location and working pattern:

This position is based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow.  

This post is full time Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours.

During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
