Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care Team as part of our Integrated Assessment and Support Service (ICASS).

The Intermediate Care Service provides rehabilitation to the adult population within the locality. This will be delivered to service users as in-patients, out-patients or within their own home.

You will require to have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team you will be expected to provide assessment and treatment for a mixed caseload of mainly older people with complex needs. Experience working with older people would be beneficial.

You should have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team.  There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites.  Working hours flexibly over 7 days is part of developments and current Public Holiday working is in operation (except Christmas Day and New Years Day).

Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities.  The ability to travel throughout the area is essential.

For informal enquiries, please contact Jennifer Meldrum, Team Lead Occupational Therapist on 01592 740193 or email jennifer.meldrum@nhs.scot.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
