Locum Appointment for Training (LAT) in Ophthalmology

Fixed Term from 1st February – 1st August 2023

An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Fixed Term Locum Appointment for Training (LAT)

Applications will be considered at ST1-ST7 level

The Postgraduate Dean has confirmed that the LAT post has the required educational and staffing approval. The Clinical Fellow post will not offer recognition by the Deanery for training purposes but will provide access to a range of education and training experiences in Ophthalmology

The post is based in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and will contribute to the provision of Ophthalmology Services across NHS Tayside

The post holder must (at the time of commencement of employment) have full registration with the GMC and a license to practice.   Applicants will also at time of appointment have recently completed a UK based Foundation Programme or have evidence of equivalent foundation competencies. If appointed to a relevant Specialty Training Programme through open competition, documented competences achieved through a LAT can count towards CCT, or towards a CESR application for those not entering an approved Specialty Training Programme
