This is an exciting permanent post in the Health Improvement Team, Department of Public Health for the crucial role of Health Information Service Co-ordinator.
You will assist in providing an accessible and responsive health information function, via the Health Information and Resources Service (HIRS) by overseeing the day to day running of the service.
Responsibilities will include supporting the development and provision of effective information for health and wellbeing using a range of media (such as digital), marketing of HIRS and supporting the provision of a professional blended/dispersed reception function for Afton House.
You should be educated to Educated to higher level/HNC Library and Information or similar and will have receptionist/library/admin/experience ideally within a health service environment.
You will have knowledge of health promotion and health literacy including the barriers to people accessing and acting on health information.
You will have strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft 365 package, Microsoft teams, social media platforms and also able to use digital equipment. Furthermore, you will have experience in delivering training courses.
You will have day to day responsibility for the service and its associated staff, line management experience is necessary. Having a can do attitude, anticipate needs from service users and solve problems is also essential.
Hours: 37.5 per week, based in Afton House, Ailsa Hospital.
