Applications are invited from an experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to lead a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Fife.
You will manage the Haematology service within the Blood Sciences department based in the excellent South Laboratory facility at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. The Blood Sciences department is accredited to ISO 15189 and holds IBMS approval for both pre and post registration training.
The department is currently equipped with Roche pre and post analytics, Sysemx X-N and CS-5100 analysers, Tosoh G8 HPLC, and a Benson Viscometer. The department is in the process of implementing a new MSC with Roche in late 2022/early 2023.
We are seeking an individual with previous practical and leadership experience in a NHS Haematology laboratory. You must possess a M.Sc. or FIBMS. and a management qualification would be advantageous.
