Head of Finance & Procurement (Ref: 127980)

£63,530 - £68,223 per annum (AfC Band 8b)

Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Edinburgh or Glasgow – hybrid working (part office/part home working)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced senior finance manager to deliver a challenging finance agenda in order to support and develop the core functions of the organisation to meet it its statutory obligations and the Board’s corporate goals, whilst mitigating risks appropriately.

The role will support the Director of Finance, Planning & Governance to create the organisation’s financial strategy which will include five year financial planning to ensure that sustainable financial balance is achieved. You will also be responsible for managing the Procurement activity for the organisation and the use of Service Level Agreements.

You will well versed in providing accurate, relevant and timely financial reporting and adhering to financial ‘best practice’ and regulatory standards at all times whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.

With responsibility for a team of eight and two direct reports, you will be a confident people manager with clear leadership attributes, capable of supporting and motivating a team to deliver results across multiple projects.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will hold a professional CCAB recognised accountancy qualification, demonstrate excellent communication and written skills and be a competent user of IT. Prior experience in a Government-funded organisation would be desirable, but is not essential for this position.
