Integrated Drugs & Alcohol Recovery Team – Drumhar Health Centre

Non-medical Prescriber/Charge Nurse - Band 6 or Band 5 trainee post rising to Band 6 on successful completion of NMP course


An opportunity has arisen within the Substance Misuse Service based in Perth City but covering Perth and Kinross for a band 6 NMP or training post initially at Band 5 but rising to a Band 6 on successful completion of the Non Medical Prescribing course at level 11. The post holder will be liaison nurse to facilitate smooth transition between prison and/or hospital and community to ensure safe prescribing and treatment.


At Interview you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility and skills for acceptance and successful completion of training at Level 11.


The service holds clinics through-out Perth & Kinross, works in collaboration with the Perth & Kinross Council Drug and Alcohol Team and is part of the Integrated Health and Social Care Locality team. The post holder will work as an independent practitioner; have knowledge, skills and competence to manage individual patient consultations within a legal and ethical framework and within agreed boundaries and protocols in line with clinical governance and professional accountability.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UKNon-Medical Prescriber/ Charge Nurse NMC Register
