This post provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to join the Band 6 rotation between the Acute and Rehabilitation services within Aberdeen City.
This post will involve working closely with Occupational Therapists and the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients in the acute and rehabilitation settings. Rotations include:
- Stroke (both acute and rehabilitation)
- HAME (Home and Mobility Evaluation Team)
- Acute neurosciences
- Neuro-rehabilitation/ Horizons
- Trauma orthopaedics/ Orthopaedic rehab
- Vascular
- Oncology/ Palliative Care,
- Emergency Department
- Surgical
- Frailty
The post holder will be expected to work hours, when required, over an extended working day and this will include weekend and public holiday working as part of a rota to meet the requirements of the service.
Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision and appraisal and in-service training as well as access to relevant external training.
Support and education of students also forms part of this role.
