So what is it we do?

We provide care and treatment to a vulnerable and  heavily stigmatised patient group in the least restrictive way possible. We do this in a non-judgemental way that is patient focused, inspirational and compassionate. If you are up for a challenge and are keen to learn the craft of either Mental Health or Learning Disability nursing then come along and join us. Be part of our patient’s ongoing journey of recovery.

Where are we Located:

We have two sites in Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest and friendliness city. Our medium secure service is based at Rowanbank Clinic and is located in the north of the city on the Stobhill Hospital site. Our low secure service is located in the South part of the city and is situated on the grounds of Leverndale Hospital.

Rowanbank Clinic has seventy-four beds across eight wards providing assessment, care and treatment to adults with a mental health or learning disability diagnosis in a medium secure setting. Our eight wards cover; male admissions, the National Learning Disability Service, male rehabilitation, and female assessment and treatment.

Low Secure service at Leverndale hosts fifty-two beds over five separate wards providing assessment, care and treatment to adults with a mental health or learning disability diagnosis. Our Low Secure services offer ongoing rehabilitation for our patients with a goal of progressing back out to the community to independent or supported living. Our wards comprise of low secure male, female and Learning disability beds in additional to our unique, incomparable nine bedded pre-discharge unit.
