An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse for GP OOHs Service. You will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to nursing workforce within the GP OOHs service ensuring the delivery of a person centered, safe and effective nursing service and clinical practice. You will aim to undertake two clinical sessions per week to inspire, motivate and empower nursing workforce within the service and wider health care teams to quality assure care deliver in the service and continually strive to improve the patient experience. Be responsible for the day to day operational line management of nursing staff, ensuring effective workforce planning including recruitment, selection, staff renewing, staff development, performance conduct and absence management. It is essential you are NMC registered nurse with substantial clinical operational and line management experience gained. A recognized leadership/management qualification and / or equivalent would be beneficial. You will deputies for the Service Manager where required. Applicants should have a full driving license as some travel across sites will be required. You should possess an in-depth understanding of the unscheduled agenda, the integration of health and social care services and extensive knowledge of NHS statutory primary care responsibilities.
