The Urology Department in NHS Fife is a progressive department at the forefront of introducing many new interventional procedures including REZUM, Urolift and HoLEP.
An opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor to join our existing Urology team, consisting of 9 Consultants, 3 Specialist Registrars and 2 Specialty Doctors who provide elective and emergency services. You will undertake theatre, ward and outpatient commitments on both the Victoria Hospital and Queen Margaret Hospital sites.
You will have a varied experience and exposure to all Urological sub-specialties. You will participate in the emergency middle grade rota which is currently a 1 in 6 rota.
You will have the support of an Educational Supervisor with the department, able to offer training opportunities in most sub-specialty areas. The Department is also willing to support continued training for the successful candidate.
You must have full registration with the General Medical Council, hold a current licence to practise and have completed at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty or have equivalent experience and competencies.
