Are you a Healthcare Support Worker with experience of working in a therapy department or a rehab setting? Are you currently working in a ward or other care setting and looking for a new challenge? Are you motivated to develop new skills and willing to take on new roles?
We have 2 x 18.75 hours per week, permanent posts – hours of work will be Mon - Fri 1030-1230, lunch then 1300-1430.
These posts will be within our Physiotherapy teams supporting services within the Acute Stroke Unit and the Neurosciences wards. These are dynamic and busy teams and the roles will support and assist the Physiotherapy staff in carrying out their daily treatments and assessments. You will need to be physically able to undertake moving and handling of complex patients and assist in the rehab and recovery of patients. The post will vary day to day and will include patient interaction, administrative duties, cleaning duties and communicating with family and extended multidisciplinary team.
Our department proactively supports our staff to develop.
This post will primarily work weekdays but there is an expectation that services will be provided over 7 days and on public holidays.
Training will be given to the successful candidate as required based on their previous experience.
