This is a fixed term post of 12 months

 (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

This is a Monday to Friday service, rotating between the Day Ward and the Outpatient Department.

​​​​​​​An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 nurse to join the Rheumatology Day Unit Services in Glasgow Royal Infirmary for a one year fixed term contract. 

It is essential that you are a registered nurse with the NMC, and have an interest in Rheumatology.

It is desirable that you are competent in venepuncture and cannulation, and have some knowledge of Rheumatology conditions and the medications used within the service. We will provide training and assign you a preceptor on appointment.

We look after a number of patients with rare conditions such as Systemic Sclerosis and various types of Connective Tissue Disease, a larger number have the more known conditions such as Rheumatoid and Psoriatic arthritis.

In this role you will join as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the best patient centred care is provided for our Rheumatology patient group.  We work closely with the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy departments.

Within the Day Unit continuing development of staff is encouraged and supported within the team.
