An opportunity has arisen to join our Support Services team in West Fife to provide a range of services for our wards at Queen Margaret Hospital. The 30 hours will be worked Monday to Friday 10:00 – 16:30.
You will be competent at using a range of sewing equipment, flatbed sewing machine, blind hemmer, over locker and be able to alter/repair staff uniforms as well as adjust curtains/screens and label patients clothing. You would also be responsible for exchange and top up of linen trolleys. On occasion you will be required to work within personal laundry on site.
You will be reliable and flexible and have the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Good communication skills are necessary to perform this role safely and effectively.
Previous experience in linen/laundry is desirable and full training will be provided
You will be provided with uniform and personal protective equipment where this is required and are expected to adhere to the NHS Fife Dress Code.
