Where We Are:

Our Regional Centres are located at Hillington, Cardonald, Clydebank, South Queensferry, Dundee and Aberdeen. This post is currently available in our Lumina  in Hillington. NHS 24 also supports Hybrid Working.


This Role: Digital Content Design Lead

Our new design lead will work closely with our more established content design, user research and service design teams to define, embed and mature a user-centred design function within NHS 24. And will be expected to lead on all design-related activities, documenting the tools and methods used, and design styles, components and patterns created.

We are looking for a designer with:

  • an interest in co-design and design research, someone that enjoys working on design problems with diverse groups who often have complex needs
  • skills in prototyping and UI development, and the ability to take ideas from initial sketches through to final designs with the confidence to explain design decisions throughout the process
  • a team focus - someone who enjoys collaborating with others on big projects and problems
  • an awareness of service design and transformation in government - including the Scottish Approach to Service Design, Digital First Service Standard and NHS Digital Service Manual
