This post is based at Dunwure Ward, Ailsa Hospital.

Dunure ward is seeking two enthusiastic individuals to join our team of highly engaged and experienced staff.  

Dunure Ward is a 14 bedded unit which cares for people over 65 with complex functional mental health issues and has a slow rehabilitation function.  The successful applicant will have a positive attitude towards maximising quality of life for service users with complex mental health needs including difficulties with emotional relationships, interpersonal relationships and treatment resistive mental illness. 

You will require to have excellent communication skills, team work ability and will be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and show commitment and dedication to deliver a high quality service for our patients.  Your main focus would be to provide safe, effective, holistic patient centered care – working within the professional standards held by the NMC code. 

​​​​​​​You must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)

Your hours will be flexible, working a mix of long day or nightshift depending on needs of the service.


Post 1 – permanent Full time Staff Nurse post (RMN) 

Post 2 – 1 year fixed term until December 2023 (75 hours over 2 weeks) Staff Nurse post to cover maternity leave.
