Band 5 Rotational Dietitian

POST 1: Mental Health Team, Murray Royal Hospital, Perth

POST 2: Perth and Kinross Community Team, Perth Royal Infirmary, Perth

POST 3: Dundee Community Team, Kings Cross Hospital, Dundee

The Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service (TNDS) are recruiting three (3) dietitians to our rotational scheme.


Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service currently has thirteen rotations across a range of specialist services including Acute, Community, Weight Management, Mental Health, Renal, Medicine for the Elderly and Paediatrics. The duration of each rotation is approximately twelve months depending on the start date. The rotational model provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience, develop knowledge and skills in a range of clinical areas and has been designed to offer optimum scope for career progression.


We are currently seeking 3 dietitians with good communication and interpersonal skills. The post holders will begin their rotation within the Mental Health Team, the Perth and Kinross Community Team or the Dundee Community Team. Caseload will include outpatient clinics, home visits, community hospital input (Perth post only), care home work and staff training.

 

The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards and innovative practice. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to the training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.  Leadership and clinical supervision will be provided. Newly qualified dietitians are supported to work through the Flying Start NHS Programme in their first year of practice


Hours of Work – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Leadership and clinical supervision will be provided. All applicants will require to be registered with the Health Care Professions Council prior to starting in post.
