We delighted to welcome applications for the role of Consultant in Public Health / Consultant in Public Health Medicine – Community-Led Health. This is a Fixed-Term (11 months) post

The successful candidate will provide Consultant Public Health expertise and contribute to the delivery of the Population Health agenda across Grampian as part of the Public Health Directorate, which provides a comprehensive public health function encompassing: community-led health, health intelligence, health protection, proactive and preventative healthcare, and strategy, governance and performance.

This post sits within the Community Led Health portfolio and will report to the Head of Community Led Health/Deputy Director of Public Health.  

The post-holder will act as Lead Public Health Consultant working with Health and Social Care Moray, providing professional leadership and highly specialist advice throughout and beyond the organisation on public health issues.  They will work within a multi-professional environment to support and develop partnership working across the Health and Social Care Partnership and Community Planning Partnership, other agencies and communities. They will assess the health needs of the population in Moray and will develop, implement and evaluate interventions for improving health and reducing health inequalities in the context of national and local strategies. 

The balance of time within the job plan and any specific portfolio is up for negotiation taking account of the interests of the successful applicant and the needs of the organisation.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview. ​​​​​​​
