Morlich Ward is a 12 bedded mixed sex ward providing assessment and care for people aged over 65 who are experiencing an acute episode of mental ill-health. You would be working as part of a highly motivated and encouraging team, who adopt a person centred approach to care, always aiming for a positive patient experience of admission.
Applicants should demonstrate awareness of current research in older adult mental health, and the use of Therapeutic, Psychological and Behavioural approaches.
The successful candidate will be motivated, demonstrate a commitment towards the continued development of patient focused care whilst fostering a therapeutic ward environment. This position would suit those who wish to be part of an evolving service that recognises the diverse and complex needs of the older person and their carers.
The successful applicant will receive guidance, support and encouragement to develop their knowledge and skills relating to the client group.
This is a fixed term/secondment post offered for 9 months as maternity cover.
