Registered Nurse, Band 5, Renal Dialysis Unit, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary 33.75 hours
Applications are invited from highly motivated, forward thinking NMC Registered Nurses who have proven ward management skills and a genuine interest in Renal Dialysis care.
The Renal Dialysis Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is a busy outpatient area for patients who require regular Haemodialysis. There are 24 Dialysis bays and patient dependency ranges from minimal to fully dependent on the Dialysis Nurse.
The Unit is open 24 hours from 7am on Monday through to midnight on Saturday. There is a weekend on-call requirement. The Dialysis team also provides Dialysis treatment to acutely unwell inpatients on the Renal ward and in high dependency and critical care areas of the hospital.
The hours of work for this post will be 1115hr to 2330hr worked as three 12-hour shifts per week. While previous Dialysis experience may be an advantage, it is not essential as competency-based training will be given.
