We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to work in this medium secure regional forensic service which serves the South East of Scotland. The Orchard Clinic is a 40-bedded unit for men and women who have both forensic and mental health needs. This requires the forensic clinical psychology department to provide high quality psychological assessment, treatment and evaluation in addition to providing specialist support and consultation to clinical teams, other professionals, criminal justice, and non-professional carers. A significant component of this post will be supporting the Forensic Clinical Psychologists with violence risk assessment tasks including file reviews. In addition there will be a role for administering assessments, supporting therapeutic groupwork, undertaking tasks to support service developments such as trauma informed and psychologically informed environments, and service evaluation.
