Exciting opportunities have arisen in NHS Ayrshire & Arran to appoint a number of Assistant Practitioners within our Acute services at University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse.
We are looking for motivated, caring and compassionate individuals who have experience working in a healthcare environment.
You should be able to work well as part of a large and diverse multidisciplinary team.
Candidates should have excellent core values, a strong sense of team spirit and excellent communication skills. Candidates should have enthusiasm to work, learn and develop yourself and colleagues within the exciting and challenging high pressure environment.
Hours of work will be to meet the needs of the service, and covering 24/7 period.
Assistant Practitioners are required to work towards completing a relevant qualification at SCQF level 8 Examples of common qualifications:
· Higher National Certificate/ Diploma (HNC/D)
· Professional Development Award (PDA) at Level 8
Training will be provided
The purpose of the role is to work under the supervision of Registered Nurses to assist patients in their care: undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service; Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters; use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient-centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings, and discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
The successful candidate will possess education or social care or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in health, education or social care environment.
