We have exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join our team within Ayrshire and Arran.  The role will involve day shift and night shift in the University Hospital Crosshouse and day shift in the renal unit in the University Hospital Ayr.

As a registered General Nurse working within the renal unit setting you will gain experience in all aspects of caring for a chronic renal patient and carrying out their renal replacement therapy.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. 

Knowledge of the renal service is desirable and previous experience as staff nurse in the medical directorate would be essential. 

Good manual dexterity is essential as you will be inserting dialysis needles and working with permanent lines and setting up dialysis machines.

The renal unit offers a commitment to lifelong learning and you will be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development through the education programme developed by the renal practice development nurse. 

You will be involved in research and development and maintaining best practice and needs to be able to show evidence of personal development.
