Neonatal Nurse / Midwife - Band 6
34.5 hours - part-time - salary will be pro rata
The post holder will assist the Senior Charge Midwife in the overall delivery of high quality safe, effective evidence based woman and baby centred care. S/he will be involved in providing both individualised patient care and in planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care within all areas of the neonatal unit, ensuring compliance with NHS Lanarkshire’s policy and procedures and maintaining statutory requirements in accordance with the NMC. To provide safe, effective, person centred care.
Successful candidate should:
- Demonstrate evidence of implementing change ideas in the workplace
- Demonstrate evidence of leading the team, motivating and supporting others.
- Good knowledge and understanding of: The Best Start; A Five Forward Plan for Maternity & Neonatal Care
- Evidence of own continuing professional development in Neonatal care.
- Have 6-12 months experience post QIS certification
- Have Post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Be forward thinking, approachable and willing to undertake improvement work for the service, to ensure high quality, family centred care.
