Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services Occupational Therapy Inpatient Services ADRS OT service is looking to appoint an experienced occupational therapist to work within our inpatient services in two localities. The post holder will be responsible for delivering skilled occupational therapy interventions to individuals admitted to hospital with alcohol or drug related difficulties. You will function within a multidisciplinary team as an independent practitioner and demonstrate an in depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience with a keen focus on client centred care in a developing area of practice. You should have a caring and compassionate approach to patients, carers and colleagues, maintaining dignity and respect within all interactions and therapeutic interventions. The post will be part of a small but well established Inpatient OT team and link closely with the wider ADRS OT community team. The post holder will be responsible for service development and supervision of junior staff and students. A new development for this role involves 4 week, post discharge follow up for patients in the community in addition to ward based treatment. You will manage delegated activity as well as maintaining a clinical caseload. You should hold a current HCPC registration and meet all requirements for practicing as an occupational therapist.
