This is a fixed term position of 2 years with the possibility of becoming permanent.

 The shift pattern for this post is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (7.5 per day)

​​​​​​​An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Officer to join our East Dunbartonshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership.

The ADP is seeking to appoint an individual with previous experience of working in a demanding and challenging support role. This role requires the ability to be flexible, have good organisational and communication skills.

The post-holder will have responsibility for a number of key activities to support the effective operation of the ADP, including monitoring, reporting and finance systems to support the development of alcohol and drug recovery services and will require to have a high level of competency in using Microsoft Office. It is essential that the post holder can demonstrate a high degree of organisational ability, minute taking experience and excellent written and oral communication skills. The hours of this post will be worked across core office hours Monday to Friday.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB

  • Applications are welcome from those who have a recognised Professional qualification i.e. HNC in a relevant discipline (Business Admin/Secretarial Studies/Public Administration) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Specialist knowledge of alcohol and drug issues, gained either through experience or post-graduate study is desirable.

Additional Skills

  • Planning & Organisation: The post holder is required to contribute to the formulation of long-term strategic plans, often involving financial uncertainty and which may impact across a range of ADP partner organisations. ​​​​​​​
