We have 2 full time vacancies for a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner to join the Recovery Team.
Our service accommodates immediate postoperative patients from elective and emergency surgery theatres from a wide range of adult surgical specialities. We also provide a recovery service at the Royal Cornhill Hospital for two morning sessions per week.
Service demands are variable throughout a 24 hour period, with a higher throughput of patients arising during the afternoons and evenings.
Our established duty pattern is predominantly 4 day shifts per week with a 1 in 4 weekend on commitment; night shifts are 12 hour shifts and covered by staff rotation.
Candidates must have good communication skills, the ability to plan and prioritise their workload, work flexibly to meet service demands and deliver high standards of patient centred care.
You will join an established team and support will be provided for you to complete the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit Core (PACU) Competencies. Previous experience of working in a PACU or surgical ward would be an advantage.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
