We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Technical Services IT Support Team.  

We provide support for a variety of clinical and administrative systems serving all areas of NHS Grampian.  Working as part of a small team you will be providing third line support to a large number of multi-disciplinary users, data centre management activities (virtual / physical server management and maintenance, enterprise storage solution management and maintenance, etc) and participate in project implementation as required. Good communication skills and a proven ability to work under pressure, on own initiative and as part of a team are essential. 

This post includes a requirement to undertake work at sites throughout Grampian where necessary. Transport provided when required. The band 6 post also has a requirement to participate in an On Call Rota for Out of Hours IT Support.

Candidates will be qualified to degree level or equivalent experience, ideally qualified or working toward MCITP or current appropriate Microsoft certification, along with experience providing IT support in a complex multi-disciplinary organization. A valid UK driving license is essential.

Appointment will be made at either Band 5 or Band 6 dependent upon existing experience.  Appointment to a Band 6 position will require candidate to prove at interview the required depth of knowledge.  If appointed to Band 5, upon reaching the requisite levels of experience/ability, the postholder will have the opportunity to move to the band 6 role.​​​​​​​
