An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Lothian’s Public Health Department as a Population Health Project Manager in the Midlothian Partnership and Place team. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is committed to tackling the social determinants of health. The post holder will be part of a well-established Public Health team and will lead the planning, management, and implementation of public health programmes, in collaboration with our community planning partners and local communities, to reduce health inequalities and improve health within Midlothian.
The Midlothian team is one of 4 place based teams in the Population Health Division of NHS Lothian’s Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy. The directorate aims to improve and protect the health of people in Lothian as part of a whole system approach to public health in Scotland
We are seeking applicants with an understanding of health inequalities and experience of project planning, management and implementation, in addition to well-developed partnership working and negotiation skills. Applicants should be educated to degree level in a public health related subject.
Part-time and job share applicants are welcome. Salary will be pro rata for part time.
