The Post:
This role is within Health Facilities Scotland (HFS), which forms part of NHS Scotland Assure. NHS Scotland Assure is the new centre of expertise, established in 2021 to reduce risk and infection within the built healthcare environment. In addition to HFS, NHS Scotland Assure also includes Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland. NHS Scotland Assure combines a multitude of built environment specialists to deliver a range of services to ensure the potential for harm is minimised across the built environment.
The post holder will work closely with subject matter experts and content owners across Health Facilities Scotland (HFS) to optimise the delivery of published content (documents/web pages) that meets user requirements. This will involve working with subject matter experts in a number of key specialist knowledge areas including (but not limited to) architecture, capital projects, climate change, sustainability, and structural, mechanical & electrical engineering.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will undertake the formatting of publications (documents and other written content) to ensure they are visually effective, accessible and comply with NSS standards. These documents may include reports, guidance documents, literature reviews, leaflets, posters, surveys, and other materials. The successful candidate will manage an effective web presence that provides accurate, up to date and quality assured information resources. As part of this, the candidate will coordinate the creation efforts across HFS and act as facilitator to help HFS staff take ownership of local content and materials.
The candidate will be educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in Information Officer role / digital content design. The post holder will have knowledge of creating a wide range of accessible document types, document management and experience in writing for the web, with ability to create content that is accessible and usable and meets organisational objectives.
Location and Working Pattern:
This is a National post. The post is flexible with hybrid working (home or office based) and will be hosted by Health Facilities Scotland. Interviews will be held via MS Teams.
Work pattern is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
