We have 2 exciting opportunities available to join our Mentalizing Based Treatment teams. Successful candidates would be based either at the Mentalizing Therapy Team in West Dunbartonshire or within Renfrewshire HSPC. Please state your preference, if any, within your application.

Our MBT programmes aim to deliver intensive evidence-based psychotherapy programmes to the highest quality standards to patients with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). We are looking for empathic, reflective, inclusive and innovative individuals who are motivated to deliver the highest quality standards to patients with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. We are seeking individuals that can share values that are important to us - being respectful, empathic, curious, collaborative, forward thinking and trauma informed. The post holder within the Mentalizing Therapy Team will be embedded within Riverview and Helensburgh CMHTs. We are a new team which was established in 2020 and we are continuing to develop our service and expand our team.  We offer tailored and supportive line management alongside, MBT clinical supervision both 1:1 and group on a weekly basis, peer support and multi-disciplinary supervision structures are in place to support personal reflection and growth.

The post holder within Renfrewshire HSCP will be based in Dykebar Psychotherapy Department at Dykebar Hospital in Paisley. The Psychotherapy service forms part of the overall mental healthcare provision for Renfrewshire HSPC. The department provides a specialist psychodynamic service whilst also forming good links with general mental health services to foster psychological thinking in mental health settings.  Its main components are clinical, supervision, training and consultation to individuals and teams.  The service offers psychodynamic assessment and consultation for patients, mentalization-based therapy, individual and group psychodynamic psychotherapy, consultation to other professionals, and the supervision, teaching and training of non-departmental staff. The post holder would form part of our team who deliver MBT.
